Who can apply for NEET 2023 exam?

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2023 as per the instructions issued by NTA is as follows: Medical aspirants must be aware of NEET eligibility criteria prior to filling the NEET application form to avoid the rejection of the application. Below mentioned are the points regarding the eligibility criteria of NEET.

How to fill NEET Application Form: Step-wise Procedure 2023

NEET 2023 application requires careful step by step process filling before submission of the same. Though a correction window will be opened for correction of mistakes in the application form, is limited to few columns. Candidates are strictly advised to go through the entire process of application carefully understand the specifics, keep entire documents in hand prior to the application form filling.

  • In the first step candidates have to register themselves, filling the required details. An application number will be generated which will be used to fill the remaining application form.
  • In the next step, candidates will have to fill in the details regarding question paper medium, exam centre details, and upload the documents.
  • In the third step, candidates have to pay the requisite fee and submit the application form.

Step 1: Registration

A link to register for NEET UG 2023 will be provided above on this page. Candidates will have to click on it. The candidate login of NEET as shown below will open.

Candidates have to go through the instructions carefully, accept that they have done the same by selecting the area provided, and then click on ‘Click here to Proceed’

  • This window will be opened for candidates should click on the New registration.
  • Read carefully the instructions and click to proceed for the application form. 
  • Following page will be opened to fill the relevant information like:

  • Candidates Name
  • Father / Guardian Name
  • Mother / Guardian Name
  • Candidate’s Date of Birth
  • Gender—Male / Female / Third Gender

  • Then, candidates will have to preview the information entered and click on ‘Next’
  • In the screen that appears after completing the steps above, candidates have to fill in the below-mentioned details
  • Create a password
  • Add a security question
  • Enter the OTP sent on their valid mobile number and email ID
  • Click on the ‘submit’ after filling in the details

Candidates will have to then click on ‘Process Detail’ if they wish to continue filling the form or close the window if they wish to pause after the registration.

Step 2: Filling NEET 2023 application Form

  • Need to login through click on “Click here to login” option
  • Login by using the generated application form and password from previous page sent your Mobile number and email id.
  • Fill the opened NEET application form with required information 
  • Details submitted at the time of registration cannot be changed in the application form.

3. In the next screen candidates have to enter their following details

  • Residential details
  • Correspondence address
  • Annual family income
  • Minority details
  • Declaration of dress code

4. In the next window, candidates will have to fill in their Aadhaar details, gender, date of birth. After this, check on the declaration box and click on the ‘Submit & Next’ tab. Refer to the image below.

5. In the next window, candidates will have to give exam centre details. Here they will have to choose 3 exam centres, question paper medium, parent’s qualification/occupation, and click on the ‘Save & Next’. The image below shows the same.

6. Next, candidates will have to enter their academic details of class 10, 11 and 12 or equivalent. At the bottom of this page candidates will be asked to fill their marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in class 12.

7. Now candidates will have to enter some additional details such as place of birth, state, district, enter the security pin and click on ‘Save & Next’.

Step 3. Uploading Scanned Photograph and Signature

In this step medical aspirants have to upload their photograph, left & right fingers and thumb impression and signature according to the specifications given in the table below.

  • Keep all the files in one folder at the required format and size
  • Click on the given option “Upload your recent documents”
  • Select the files to be uploaded 
  • Click on “next” to proceed to the payment option

Step-4 : Review the details filled, Pay Application Fee

Select Debit / Credit Card / Net-banking /UI (Service / processing charges per transaction & GST (as applicable) to be paid by the candidate to complete the payment of the application fee.

After uploading the documents, candidates will be redirected to the review page where they will have to check whether the details showing on the front end are correct or not. Refer to the image provided below.

NTA published the NEET 2023 application fee payment details in its information bulletin. The same is increased by ? 100/- compared to last year. Check the category wise application fee details given:

  1. In the next step, candidates have to make payment for the application form of NEET. Category wise application fee of NEET 2023 is given in the table above. There are certain points that are to be known to the candidates prior to making the NEET application fee payment

  • The mode of fee payment is online. Candidates can make the payment of the application form through credit/debit card and net banking using SBI/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm payment gateway.

  1. After this candidates will be redirected to the payment interface page where they can make NEET application fee payments.

Confirmation page

  • After the successful payment wait for the “Confirmation page” to generate.
  • Download the same and save take print out for future purposes.
  • Prior to generation of confirmation page, it is considered as payment not done, though the amount deducted from the bank account.
